@el_travs Not disputing that. Im not one to bash people that I don’t agree with (usually), but Mike Elias has to go. Guy is allergic to accepting responsibility for anything over the past 7 years. The fact that he’s been promoted in the last year & isn’t even the actual GM now is unreal

I assume most Orioles fans know this , and this post is nothing new ... But Craig Albernaz was brought here, over any type of manager with experience, because he'd be a yes man for Elias and let Mike run the entire Show, from player acquisition to day to day lineups and decisions

@thejkuyken1 I understand that. What I am saying is that Elias makes the lineups. I would not be surprised if he makes in-game decisions as well . Veteran managers have input into roster construction as well. These reasons are why Elias wanted no parts of a veteran manager

@el_travs El Tray, GM’s make the day to day decisions of the ball club (ie: roster, player acquisition etc). Managers, in most cases, construct the lineup based on the personnel they have available to them. To think that managers decide who a team acquires or promotes is just incorrect

On May 3, 2025, the Orioles fell to 13-19. It was their 1st of 14 losses in 16 games. On May 3, 2026, the Orioles fell to 15-19. It was their season-high 4th straight loss. They’ll now try to avoid a similar May collapse.

There is no doubt Mike Elias creates the daily lineups. Zero doubts. He likely manages in game decisions... Pinch hitters, bullpen, as well.

@ThirstRoundPick The fact that was the defensive alignment they chose for the rookies debut tells you everything that is wrong with how Elias and his nerds run this team. Is Albernez just a face? Treat the players like numbers on a page and they know it. They are playing fantasy ball. 🧡🤡🖤

If the Orioles ownership is serious about winning they'll fire Mike Elias sooner rather than later. My question is ... Will he get hired by another organization as a GM? What has he done to convince another team to hire him in that capacity?

You're Baltimore Orioles are exactly 2 games better than they were at this time during a disastrous 2025 season. They haven't played winning baseball in 22 months. The world series window that waited through 5 historically bad seasons for is firmly in the closed position

The Orioles are starting to unravel in the 8th. After Dominguez's 2-run HR, Kittredge gave up back-to-back singles. Caballero then laid down a bunt down the 3rd base line that was about to roll foul, but Coby Mayo tried to field the ball and Caballero reached to load the bases.

Orioles fans, the sad thing is, there's no light at the end of the tunnel. Mike Elias seems to have a lifetime appointment and he's simply not a very good major league GM. Rubenstein is clueless and doesn't seem to care. It's hard to even imagine when they may be good again.
