@Rachel_Fradette@indystar “We are not looking to move books with cuss words,” but rather those with explicit sexual content, Beckwith said. - Somebody needs to read his own policy. Appendix A literally lists cuss words that would result in the book being moved.

Here's another headline: the Senate GOP budget still contains language to defund the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.
That was added in the House and Sen. Mishler says his caucus wanted to keep it.

@cshinders All legislative committees and floor sessions are available to view after the fact.
Sometimes they’re available the next day, sometimes it takes a few days.
Go to the committee page and view the past committee meetings. A video link is there.
@brandonjsmith5 in regards to other WFYI reporting, is there any way to view state legislature videos after the fact? Is it watch live or bust? I'd love to watch the testimony from the Public Health committee this morning on SB480.
Good morning!
I'm watching the Senate Elections Committee today, which is hearing SB188.
SB188 forces school board candidates to declare a political party (or run as an independent).

@brandonjsmith5 This is all well and good but this is the same year his party is looking at getting rid of the income tax and 30%+ of annual state revenue.
Promoted by a question, Holcomb says his budget proposal takes into account a predicted mild recession in the near future.
Holcomb’s two-year budget would end with $3 billion in reserves, about 14% of the overall budget.
Gov. Eric Holcomb is at an Indianapolis elementary school today to unveil his 2023 legislative agenda.
I’ve covered every one of his agendas the last six years. This is, by far, his most ambitious.

A 🧵-Let me make something very clear about the Fishers One school board candidates for HSE. Ben Orr, Dawn Lang, Tiffany Pascoe and Juanita Albright have been instructed by Fishers One NOT to participate in any community candidate forums.
@Sarcasmorator I know it's wildly out of date, but I was hoping there were plans to update it. It was in a really good spot before imo for ease of use.
@brandonjsmith5 This is where my legal ignorance comes into play. The motion to stay is what I wanted. I appreciate the help. I was very curious how the state is handling the section 1 liberty argument.
@cshinders On that same page, you can read the Motion To Stay.
The injunction appeal hasn't been filed yet, presumably because the state is waiting to find out which court will hear that appeal.
@brandonjsmith5 a personal request if I may. Trying to find the Solicitor General's court filing appealing the abortion ban injunction, and all I can find is the same quoted sentence and AP News verbiage over and over. Is there public access to read the court filing?
@brandonjsmith5 Ah ok. I have read that one, but I thought it was only the filing to try to send it to the IN supreme court, not the injunction appeal as well. Thanks!
