CFTRI developed a Mobile Processing Unit for fruits & vegetables for NECTAR, Shillong. Inaugurated on 13 Mar 2026 by C. H. Vijayashankar, Governor of Meghalaya. This will reduce post-harvest losses and enable on-site processing. Dr Arun Kumar Sarma & Dr Giridhar P took part.

CFTRI celebrated Intl Women’s Day, honouring women’s contributions to science and society. Chief Guest Dr Deepa P. highlighted women’s resilience, while Guest of Honour Dr. Parameshwara CM spoke on women’s health and mindful living. Senior housekeeping staff were also felicitated

National Science Day celebrated at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru on 3.3.26. Chief Guest Prof. K. R. S. Sambasiva Rao, VC, Mangalyatan University, spoke on “Exploratory Thinking in Modern Research Practice,” Director Dr Giridhar P presided over the function. Staff and students were present.

A segment of the Wondervogel Program was held at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru (18.02.2026) under the MoC with Hokkaido University. Faculty & students visited labs and pilot plants; addresses by Dr. G. Suresh Kumar & Dr. H. Umesh Hebbar. Delegates enjoyed dosa & chikki!
