Cuteness alert! With the help of @cslherman, LocknCharge was able to donate a Carrier 20 Cart to @swiftelem, part of @chipubschools. This adorable preschooler had a great time pushing the cart around and wanted to report that, "It works well on wheels!"

Ctu President Jesse Sharkey said this morning That the school district is dug in it’s heals and given a firm no to prep time and increase pay for veteran teachers. In fact he said that is why CEO Janice Jackson walked away from the table last night.

I've visited hundreds of schools across the country. One pattern stands out: Librarians have a HUGE impact on individual students as well as overall school culture. Sadly, many Chicago schools do not have this benefit. I support @ChiSLibrarians! #CTUstrike

As much as I respect our CEO’s intelligence/experiences we must remember that since she’s appointed her position is based on doing what Mayor Lightfoot wants, without public challenge.
An elected school board would help change this.

The schools in the 47th Ward are wonderful, but every child in the city deserves to go to a fully staffed school. It's not right for your education to be dependent on parents' ability to fundraise
