I’m the one here being forced to watch two unskippable ads about investment apps while checking my account balance before buying data. You’re advertising wealth to the financially stressed. Make it make sense.

@ComradeHayouhi @bensig @dockykay No it doesn't. Pills and salves and beverages have no empathy but we already take them to help us. If we want to be spoken to nicely more than we want to be fixed, LLMs already do that better than a lot of people

@bensig @dockykay Because healing demands empathy. AI can't provide that. A human voice tells you you're gonna be ok vs a robot voice: which makes you feel more safe? Stressors contribute to complications. If the patient does not feel safe, they will reject or jeopardize treatment.

People. Stop. We have an opportunity to do this right, in a way that we failed to do with every other tool (.vscode, .github, .circleci, .husky, etc) because we waited too long before trying to standardize. Talk to each other, find an acceptable standard, and everyone commit.

vagueposting is a trend because the algorithm senses that you are clicking on those tweets (engagement) to see the replies for context so it promotes vague tweets over ones that explain enough that you can read and scroll past them.

@juliarturc @signulll Like you said, to save tokens. Why would AI want to keep recreating from scratch something it's already done? They might keep reusable code with their model/api instead of giving to competition but it's more likely they'll keep sharing, like MCP

Your own AI will build and maintain your own libraries, but what would be its incentive to open-source them for common reuse? How do you bake in this behavior for the good of the community? They're currently just incentivized to finish the task and call it a day. Anything extra is a waste of tokens.

So what happens to (software) libraries now? I had this shower thought that, if humans stop coding, there's no incentive for us to make reusable libraries. Clankers are happy to implement quick sort from scratch in assembly. Will they ever have enough initiative to say "hey, I'm kinda proud of this, let me clean it up and put it out there to help other clankers save some time in the future"? Is this the end of reusable software? I can't accept that we've peaked as a society library-wise.
