@XtianMalford @krishgm @bishopoffulham @PrivateEyeNews I was in that choir. There was no sign that he was “tired” or “emotional”, just extremely unreasonable. He cut the lights in the final number, at 10.07, when he had let the church until 11pm. We had sung there at least three times before (perhaps more) on the same terms.

#THREAD @X is awash with anonymous accounts spreading disinformation & using crass insults to attack & belittle their political opponents. Below, I reproduce an Op-ed from a small US newspaper, dated December 1969, titled: "Only gutless cowards hide behind cloak of anonymity".

@gpjanik @MichaelAArouet The OP was about US vs EU, not UK vs EU, and provided a chart showing divergence between the US and EU. The addition of Hungary, Romania, Poland and Bulgaria are all large economies that joined in 2004-07. But yes it's only a hypothesis.

@cstephenson @MichaelAArouet This graph clearly shows that UK, FR and DE have parallel dynamics, DE and FR just had higher base. Addition of SK, SV and Baltics that have maybe 1% of Eurozone GDP also is quite unlikley reason for this absolutely massive gap that started before it Eurozone extended.

@MichaelAArouet We can also see that lighter-touch UK is less productive then "socialist, over-regulated" France.

Talk about no good deed going unpunished. I hold no torch for SF, but Republicans have been generous in their remembrance of the First World War dead not least because many of their own relatives died in it. Your intemperate tweet also suggests that Unionists have some kind of monopoly on remembrance. You have no such thing. The majority of Irish men who died in WW1 were from an Irish nationalist background, more than 33,000 from the South. Stop with this tribal nonsense. You have no monopoly on remembrance.

Congratulations, @KemiBadenoch, on becoming the Conservative Party’s new leader. The first Black leader of a Westminster party is a proud moment for our country. I look forward to working with you and your party in the interests of the British people.

@markovenden Our first-born's delivery cost $5,000 because in the in-network obstetrician went off shift at 6pm and was replaced by an out-of-network doctor. Beautiful baby girl arrived at 6.15pm. Less beautiful invoice arrived the following week.
