I am QUITTING the debate space indefinitely. After a deep and sincere conversation with our revert brother @EnochIslam I have come to the realization that I have done more harm than good by trying to debate without a proper foundation in true Islamic knowledge. I ask Allah and the Muslim community to forgive me for what I have done in the past and to allow me to enter a new chapter of my life as a student of Islam instead of using Islam to my own will. I deeply regret taking debates with individuals who constantly disrespect Islam and I will steer far away from them. Truly, after speaking to our brother Enoch I have realized that the presence I have can be used for something greater and better than wasting time arguing with those who hate us. If I ever hurt you with my words, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness as I have made many mistakes in my life that I now seek to rectify before I meet my Lord on Judgement Day. The last 10 days of Ramadan spent in the Masjid was an invitation by my good friend and lawyer @HassanShibly who helped me in my journey back to Islam away from hedonism. I’m still learning, and I have no knowledge to speak on Islam in a public space, let alone in debates. So I will refrain from doing so until I finish my proper schooling recommended to me and I will continue to strive for Allah in private. My efforts will be focused on creating content for journalism, activism, and financial education. I hope that you continue this journey with me as I navigate this chaotic world as a human. I ask Allah to forgive me and forgive anyone who may have done wrong through my influence or actions, and I sincerely ask those who support me or know about me to make dua for me to become the best version of myself while I am alive. This is my only personal goal in life… to become the best version of myself so I can serve others around me in the best way possible. That’s it. May Allah accept my sincere repentance.

I played Marc Ecko's Getting Up on PS2 a few years ago and it was a really cool game centered around graffiti culture. You rise to the fame against an authoritarian city and rival gangs by painting graffiti across the most dangerous locations. It also has sick licensed tunes!

I have mixed feelings about this one.
Nathan Fillion (aka Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds) of Firefly has been dropping major hints on his social media that a season 2 of Firefly—which was criminally cancelled after just one season—is coming.
I thoroughly enjoyed Serenity, the Joss Whedon movie that tied up the series—although killing off Wash (Alan Tudyk) was totally unnecessary.
Nathan has been visiting his former co-stars, telling them it's time… time for what? Everyone believes this means season 2 of the beloved series.
Five years ago I would have been hyped, but Hollywood has long lost its mojo with endless remakes, reboots and sequels. No originality or substance. I see a lot of people saying Hollywood is dead—I wouldn't go that far, but I do believe they've lost the plot big time.
This is of course another Hollywood 'grab' on past IP to get a win, without creating something new, but for the first time I am actually excited about this one.
We have such fond memories of the series, and I worry they'll duff this new one like Hollywood does with everything else.
I have my fingers crossed and hope @NathanFillion (one of my favourite actors—Castle is a masterpiece) can pull another one out of his hat and make this next project fun while honouring the original series.
I hope this one is a huge success!

@MattWalshBlog I’ve had similar thoughts. I think the more a toy gets played with, the more self-aware they become. Buzz was factory settings, but Andy’s toys had played dozens and dozens of roles and became an amalgamation of all their different roles.

Some people have pointed out that the toys in the toy store in the second film are conscious despite not having been owned by a child yet. This would seem to undermine my theory, except that those toys operate on factory settings. They are not aware of themselves as toys (much like Buzz in the first film). So it is in relation to the child, and through their relationship with the child, that the toy becomes aware of itself as a self and begins to know, and with great pain at first, accept its true nature. Which leads me finally to conclude that Toy Story is a deep spiritual allegory about man’s relationship with God.

Watching Toy Story 3 with my kids. In the landfill, the toys are apparently the only conscious beings amid all the random plastic objects. And yet in the fourth installment we’re introduced to a self-aware spork that Bonnie, a young child, has named Forky. This suggests that consciousness in the Toy Story universe is imbued into objects only once they are named and loved by a human being. This would explain why the toys in Sid’s room in the first film apparently have a more rudimentary and savage form of consciousness, reflecting the conscious state of the child who owns them. I need to develop this theory more. I’ll let you know what I come up with.
