@JudgeBobOrr Oblong, rotating ball. Wind, etc can impact, but much more influenced by the rotation. The shape is not as stable end over end (as opposed to a spiral), so subtle changes have dramatic impacts on flight. The upright flags are pretty still, so just aerodynamics at play.

Q for placekickers: it looked like Jeter's kick was drifting right then half way to the goalpost started a slight draw through the uprights. Did the wind get it or what?
