One of the most surprising things that happened this year was the peace of mind that came with getting rid of my car. It’s New York City: hasn’t been a use case yet for needing one. Road trips? There are Uber-like rental car services that drop off/pick up a car at your house.

@realEstateTrent Be creative! Etiquette wise, cash bar at a wedding is the low of the low. There are 10+ other creative solutions that they could find that doesn’t require more budget. Finding a creative solution show that you deeply care for your guests (a cash bar demonstrate the opposite).

If you were invited to a wedding where the couple was having financial trouble, would you be upset if you had to pay for your own drinks?

@realEstateTrent Never experienced the awkwardness of this because the guests/family/friends are always singing along as well. Sometimes I even sing if I see another table receiving a birthday dessert lol

Years ago I was visiting New York City, and an old college friend invited me to stay at his place. He and his wife were away, so he insisted it didn’t make sense for me to stay in a hotel since their apartment would be sitting empty. I was hesitant, but agreed. Big mistake.

Why can’t you just make an offer within the Zillow or Redfin app? The offer forms are 99% standardized anyway. Upload your loan approval letter, choose price/dates, etc from a dropdown menu, add a response deadline, and hit send. You could be in contract within minutes.
