Which movie has a sequel that's just as good as the first?

The Labour Government is taking £150 off the cost of your energy bills. And we're taking the action needed to bring down bills for good by investing in homegrown energy so we don't remain at the mercy of international markets.

This rests on the *global* benefits of lowered carbon emissions. That's dubious: we are 0.8% of global emissions and most of the rest of the world isn't decarbonising nearly as aggressively as us. If we only consider benefits to the UK, the costs of Net Zero exceed the benefits.

1/ We are continuing to work with our international partners in response to the ongoing situation in the Middle East. The energy price cap will provide protection for households until 30th June regardless of global events, and will mean energy bills will fall by 7% from April.
