Here's what else is in your "100% agave" tequila: Glycerin — thickens mouthfeel, hides rough edges Caramel coloring — makes it look aged without actual aging Oak extract — fakes barrel character Sugar syrup (jarabe) — adds sweetness Before 1997, the total limit was 1% by weight across all four. Then the wording shifted to allow 1% of each. The TTB allows 96% agave tequila to be called 100% agave. Nothing else has to appear on the label. But actually, why does red wine pair so well with steak? Tannins in the wine bind right to the steak’s proteins and fats. That way, wine loses its grippy edge and tastes smoother/fruity. The fat in the meat gets sliced through so every bite stays fresh.

@zio1897 You’re not the catholic I’m referring to then. Tradition is important to culture and can bring someone closer to, and more comfortable in their beliefs. But you see the difference in honoring tradition and worshiping it.

I don’t think salvation is through only Catholicism or Orthodox either I promise. I know very well it’s through Christ and His teachings. Tradition is also culturally important. For example as an Italian Catholic we do things different than my Spanish Catholic friends to an extend and so on come the major events and holidays. End of the day I wish Christians would stop this finger pointing and at the very least understand we have to be united as Jesus is getting attacked more now than ever. Erosion in moral society at its highest

@zio1897 I’m American so the Catholic Church is more recognized in conversation. I’m not really “outside.” I was raised Catholic. I don’t really have anything against either side, but I also don’t think salvation is specifically through a non-Protestant church.

It might come off that way and I get it from the outside in. But I find it odd that the focus is always on Catholics yet I never hear anyone call out Orthodox who are hand-in-hand with us. Minus the Pope. Whereas we see Protestants, Jewvangelicals and others as just Concert Hall gatherings and fundraising. To each their own, but the same can go in so many ways.
