Not only are we deploying US troops, and excavators and multiple aircraft carriers. But, we removed key aircraft carriers from high-risk theatres such as the Pacific. It's one thing to have all options available, but so far every claim Trump has made of de-escalation has been followed by more troops and more bombs.

My whole adult life the narrative has been that conservatives are “patriots”, and liberals are the “American haters”. But liberals are desperately trying to save US democracy from a conservative movement hellbent on sacrificing it for one man’s ego. It’s exhausting.

Blatantly a constitutional violation, that I expect even this SCOTUS will strike down: * Coercion right off the bat. * Violates separations of powers. * Election clause is clear in state authority over regulations. The president has no executive authority over this.

We’re challenging it. See you in court.

Funny how as times get tougher the Republicans are calling for working people to sacrifice meals and trips to Starbucks while cutting food benefits, healthcare, and public education but not asking for the rich to skip luxury vacations, yachts, and 5th homes while giving them more tax breaks. It’s almost like they are diverting our attention while looting our government.

To everyone dismissing today’s No Kings rallies: Symbolism is not weakness. Symbolism is how movements announce themselves to history. Not everyone can file a lawsuit. Not everyone can run for office. Not everyone can break a story or fund a campaign. But two hours in the street says something that cannot be ignored: We are here. We are counting. We are watching. Philadelphia filled. Atlanta marched. DC is building now. This is not the beginning of the resistance. This is the resistance announcing its size. Trump dismissed the Women’s March. Trump dismissed the George Floyd protests. Trump dismissed every crowd that showed up before. Like retweet and comment so this message goes far and wide!

Today’s final count: 7 million Americans. 3,000 cities. Every state. Philadelphia. Atlanta. Dallas. St. Paul. DC. San Francisco. 500,000 in London. Tel Aviv in the streets. A human banner on the Pacific Ocean spelling out: TRUMP MUST GO NOW. One of the largest single-day demonstrations in American history. The founders settled the kings question in 1776. America settled it again today. Never stop connecting the dots.

NO KINGS TODAY. NATIONWIDE.

There’s a reason Washington didn’t do this. Jackson didn’t do this. Lincoln didn’t do this. TR didn’t do this. FDR didn’t do this. Reagan didn’t do this. They were all *real* American patriots. This is something you see in banana republics, from Mickey Mouse wannabe despots.
