@Koppernicus @gmtgames Northern Aggressors? Didn't the South start it by trying to secede?
English

Start of 0600 turn in @gmtgames Great Battles of the American Civil War. The Northern Aggressors are still holding the line.

English

According to @Stathead there have been 26 times in NBA history that a player in his 40s scored 20 points in a playoff game.
All 26 came by a Laker. Three different ones.

English

@Clint_Davey1 @DracoIdeas Looks great BUT how much does it cost?
English

One of my favourite new games in terms of graphics is Castelnuovo 1539, by @DracoIdeas.
Great contrast between the red and green blocks, and the map looks superb.
Wish more wargames went for this kind of look.

@fbgchase NFL defenses are taking away deeper passes PLUS some of the great QBs retired and the newer ones aren't as good in general
English

A possible explanation: NFL defenses are selling out to shut down passing games, which is why we see teams running more often (and more efficiently) than they used to: footballperspective.com/why-do-teams-r…

We used to have it so good man

@markherman54 @HenMazzig As Netanyahu has stayed in power longer, he has had to cozy up to the extreme right, and Israel treats the Palestinians far worse than it did 25 years ago. Iran is the instigator, but Israel also has committed barbaric acts.

“I’ve spoken to congressional colleagues who have privately told me that many things Mr. Piker has said are disgusting.
Yet they’ll say nothing about it in public.”
Josh Gottheimer is one of the first Democrats to take a stand against the embrace of Hasan Piker.
When are more leaders going to speak out against Piker’s bigotry?

English

@konstructivizm That mission was in 2015, and I don't think it came anywhere near that close until it crashed

Jets QB Cade Klubnik is undeterred by having his draft stock slip from round one before the 2025 season to round four in 2026. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

@wtjbatman @Decisiongames That was a good quad, back in the day. Try the Crimean War quad too
English

Beginning my journey into Napoleonic warfare with Napoleon at War: Deluxe Edition, a @Decisiongames reprint of the old SPI Quad. Beautiful remake, fast and easy gameplay, just a lot to love in this box. And 4 games in 1, hard to beat that nowadays!

English

@markherman54 This is really beyond awesome!
After having picked up the venerable SPI’s Lee Moves North (per your recommendation in a video interview), I bought counter sleds because I thought the game screams for a block treatment…
…and now you give us this!

First look at Lee Moves North Theater level. Using a variant from Gulf Strike you maneuver anywhere from Harrisburg to Petersburg at the 8 mile scale and enter or exit the half mile scale maps. The theater level uses hidden movement blocks with cavalry recon/screening.

@markherman54 Mark, if Lee maneuvered, and did not attack, but waited to be attacked, how long could he have stayed up North? Another 2 weeks? More?
English

@nickkorte HE was responsible for Russel Wilson.
I think he hired Hackett.
How much of the drafting and player development was due to Sean Payton?
Paton may be ok, but how does Denver do without Payton? Do they make the playoffs with a run of the mill HC?
English

It was an essential goal to achieve for this offseason, and I'm very happy that the Broncos got it done.
George Paton has done an excellent job, and I'm glad he'll be in Denver for much longer.
Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter
Source: Broncos and GM George Paton reached agreement on a five-year deal that runs through the 2030 season.
English

We have signed General Manager George Paton to a new five-year contract through the 2030 season, Owner and CEO Greg Penner announced.

English

@seanscott71 @Broncos Paton was saved by Sean Payton.
Payton is a HOF head coach and had a hand in players selected.
I wouldn't credit Paton that much
English

@Broncos Unreal... after the Hackett debacle and then that God awful, washed up, pos, loser, asshole, QB he decimated our team with (wilson)... this guy should have been fired. Instead; they rehired him. Pitiful! He and Wilson should both be out of the NFL!
English

@Broncos Paton was responsible for the Russel Wilson trade, and for hiring Hackett (I think).
Paton was saved by Sean Payton. Without him he'd have been gone.
