Seriously though, low carb held me back forever. Picture 1 was the best shape I had been in since high school. On my honeymoon, very low carb, running 20-30 miles/week doing circuit BS workouts. No kids, staring a business but tons of free time. 26 years old. Picture 2 is two years of eating like a normal person and working with @AntiDoc. TRT in the mix, but also running 3 businesses, 3 kids under 6 years old. 38 years old.

@bowtiedshredder You can modify your bro split to train legs twice a week. And it's not about the ratios as much as how your body responds to certain split. If training legs once a week works, the ratio is irrelevant.

The main reason I ditched the bro split when I was competing in bodybuilding was to be able to train legs more Bro split has 4 upper body workouts for every leg workout, 4:1 ratio Modified Dorian bro split: 3:1 ratio Push Pull Legs: 2:1 ratio Upper/Lower: 1:1 ratio

6. Coach(es) If you plan to do a show then I believe it is an absolute must to have a coach. Especially if it’s your first one (but even the pros have coaches so 🤷🏼‍♂️). I hired @HypertrophyHub as my coach and I was extremely happy with my decision. Took so much pressure off the process by having programming in place, macros set, and just that added resource to ask questions and bounce ideas off of. He’s also a dad with a family so he was great to work with (no matter how many times my check-ins were off schedule 😬). He also hooked me up with a great posing coach to fine tune everything for the stage.
