The raw reality of China’s commercial dog meat industry has been exposed in a disturbing video out of Yulin, Guangxi, capturing the brutal methods used to handle these animals. The unedited footage shows a facility worker methodically treating dogs for parasites using a harsh chemical dipping process. Armed with a long pole and a neck noose, a woman forcefully hoists a struggling black dog into a large vat of diluted phoxim—a toxic organophosphate insecticide used in Chinese agriculture to kill mites and ticks. For nearly twenty seconds, the animal thrashes in terror, gasping for air as it is repeatedly dunked and agitated in the chemical bath before being pulled back out by its neck toward a long row of crowded wire-mesh cages. Maybe if American men weren't systemically discriminated against for the past 40 years including most especially by the tech industry (and in particular by VCs who fund these billion-dollar companies) in favor of cheap foreign labor we would have had more billion-dollar tech startups too. The Indian families I know who own gas stations pool money together with 6-12 adults in the family, they work 12-16 hour days & reinvest most of the profits to acquire businesses.
And the “why not stay in India?” point ignores that America offers things that people value more than lower cost of living. Things like scale, infrastructure, financing, legal protections, consumer spending power and long-term opportunity for their children.

I personally know more than 20 physicians who have already moved, or are actively in the process of moving, to Canada: surgeons, cardiologists, ICU physicians, and other highly accomplished doctors with strong research portfolios and elite training. For many of them, the only real barrier in America was country of birth, or the exhaustion of living under constant uncertainty. When a country makes its most skilled, vetted, and productive professionals feel disposable, it should not be surprised when another country turns them into an asset.

Insisting on heritage over merit when it comes to medical practice is suicidal. Some of the best doctors in this nation are of Indian origin.
I genuinely cannot understand caring more about your doctor's nationality than you do about her competence, skill, or experience. Laying on that gurney on your way to an emergency surgery and thinking, "the doc best be white" is insane. You have lost the plot.

That said, the MCAT is an IQ test, so if one failed, it's because one was too dumb to practice medicine; no amount of education will change that.
