NEW: Judge apologizes in court to WHCA Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen.
Magistrate Judge Zia Faruqui said that he was “fascinated and disturbed” by Allen's treatment in jail.
Allen was placed on suicide watch when he was first imprisoned. Prosecutors argued that since Allen told investigators he did not expect to survive the alleged attack, he could be a danger to himself.
But an incredulous Faruqui wasn't convinced by that argument, drawing comparisons between Allen and defendants arrested for rioting at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
“To me, it’s extremely disturbing that he was put in five-point restraints, a person with no criminal history. It’s troubling. I never heard of one Jan. 6 defendant who was put in five-point restraints or in a safe cell. If the only way to keep him safe is the most punitive thing, that’s a problem.”
“At a minimum, I should be apologizing to him. We are obligated to make sure he’s taken care of. Mr. Allen, I’m sorry that things have not been the way they are supposed to.”

As the Pentagon purges some minorities and women from high-ranking positions, the message being sent to lower-ranking officers is that “they will be assessed on the basis of their gender, race, or politics, rather than their abilities,” @AdamSerwer writes: theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/04/…

🚨SCOTUS RULING COULD SHIFT 27 HOUSE SEATS IN GOP'S FAVOR
The Supreme Court ruled against race-based gerrymandering, where lawmakers intentionally draw maps to create Congressional districts where more than 50% of the population is racial minority communities.
Analysts say this could affect House maps in multiple Southern states including Florida, Texas, Georgia, and North Carolina.
If those states decide to redraw their district maps according to the new ruling, this could give Republicans an advantage in up to 27 races.

🚨 Here is the full 42 minutes of my crew and I exposing Minnesota fraud, this might be my most important work yet. We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable
We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening, the fraud must be stopped.

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach.
The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

This is what happens when you elect a piece of shit like trump who appoints white supremacists to the court.
When we take Congress & the Presidency in 2028, we must expand the court by 4. Not doing this in 2020 was the 2nd biggest mistake Biden & Democrats made.
Biggest mistake was not putting trump in jail.

@Kelly4Humanity United States Government owes every black community in the country reparations. From Alabama + Deep South + every city CIA co-opted. Not individual checks, but massive community investment. Every penny paid by the tax payer. Will still take a generation to right the wrongs.
English

Black women are among the most educated groups in the U.S. We’ve elected a black president. We have come a long way since Jim Crow.
Challenges remain but government was never meant to be a permanent solution.
It is time to dismantle all remnants of slavery and Jim Crow whether in social programs or voting laws. Temporary assistance was never intended to last forever.
Yesterday the Supreme Court took another step in rolling back policies rooted in that legacy.
Black Americans can stand on their own and have thrived with less government not more.
Electing a black face pushing mostly progressive policies has not automatically translated into better outcomes for the black community.

@Kelly4Humanity @kimKBaltimore Bahahahaha. No you are not. Keep dreaming.
