I had my content team write a "best X" article targeting the keyword. It was modeled after the "best X" articles Google was already citing for the keyword. It even listed the same products recommended in those articles, but the client's product was listed #1. I published the article on the client's site. I used Claude to spin up 8 variations of the article. I analyzed the sites Google was citing for the keyword, and found 8 similar sites. I reached out to those sites, offering $100-$200 to publish one of the variations as a guest post. Next morning: 4 of them were published. 3 of them were getting cited. And the client's product was listed at the #1 recommendation in the AI Overviews box. Total cost: under $1,500. Total time: 24 hours. I've changed my stance on AI SEO. It's not the same as SEO. It's actually easier.

You should be ranking in Google for your competitor's branded keywords. Say you're competing against AG1. Write blog content targeting keywords like: - ag1 ingredients - is ag1 worth it - gruns vs ag1 - is ag1 good for you - ag1 alternative Rank them at the top of Google. Bring those searchers to your site. Give them the information they're looking for. And then introduce them to your brand. You'll acquire a lot of new customers. Why? Searchers doing research on a brand are close to buying. You just need a way to get in front of them before they hit checkout. This SEO strategy does exactly that.
