Telangana is developing a new township on 40,000 acres. This is not a township conceived by me. It was originally notified by Kumaraswamy. Earlier, during the BJP government, around 1,000 acres were acquired and later handed over to KIADB. Who developed the Bidadi Township? Who developed the Bidadi Industrial Township? Who developed the Harohalli Industrial Township? Did the farmers disappear because of those projects? Now, the farmers have agreed. To the clowns opposing the Parandur airport: many of the areas that generate the highest economic output today were once villages, agricultural land, wetlands, or low-value land. ex T. Nagar, Chennai Canary Wharf, London Singapore's CBD and Marina Bay Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai Today, they contribute more to the economy in a year than some villages do in a lifetime. To some Luddite morons, this is apparently hard to understand, but that's how development works. And before anyone comes after me saying agriculture is more important than an airport, why doesn't the Tamil Nadu government invest in innovative farming methods like Singapore or Israel if agriculture is truly the priority? If agriculture is so important, then why is the government considering turning the acquired airport land into a SIPCOT industrial park instead?
