Kept this on the DL for a while, but things moved to the final stage yesterday. Happy to announce I'm gonna be working with the graphics department in the NBA / 2K League on a few projects. And I really have the community to thank for it, pushing me out there like crazy.

@_oFAB Agree with a lot of it. At #3 put the actual NBA 2K Teams/NBA Orgs for not giving a care and truly trying. Some didn't have coaches till the very end. A lot had no leadership (GM, etc) that knew what was going on outside of a coach. Most didn't push any marketing or socials.

Reasons why league ended: 1. Viewership is low and no one cares about competitive 2k except our small niche community 2. 2k adds gravity ball and doesn’t add 2k league (shows you that we need to humble ourselves and we small fish, let’s stop egoing others) 3. Players in the league (90% just collecting a check) 4. Coaches in the league (90% just collecting a check) 5. Comp community in 2k is lowkey a scam . How you ask? People act shocked when Kenny was successful at lock, Dayfri won at pg, dimez was good at center, seem good at center , mama good at sg…. When 2k is the easiest esport out there . You can be the best player in the world but if you don’t have the teammates around you people will laugh and consider you trash (Talent doesn’t matter and it’s hard to truly identify talent when everything is mental) 2KL pros should be able to play multiple positions and actually be skilled . What we saw was glorified role players that the casuals don’t even respect . “I feel like I can play every position except pg in the 2k league , that’s easy!” - Casuals - a lot of the coaches , players are just terrible people (since league ended I got scammed 3 times already) when 2k league is around everyone puts on a mask and acts like a good boy . Deep down inside people have issues to work on . Power trips , egos etc . Retail coaches/Sponsors/Daily Tournaments: hahahahaha I don’t even have enough characters to type about that . - 2k league is a pro league and people wanted to make rules to break up the warriors (????? Just looks terrible on the esport) League ended because we didn’t deserve it . There is more $$ in content . Truly grateful for Joe Knows, precise, Siba, 1v1Me, lakerfan, choc, + all the creators who continue to care about pro am and help it stay alive .

My time with the @warriors has come to an end after five successful years. It's been an honor to work with so many great people and help bring WGS to the pinnacle of its sport. I'd love to explore more opportunities to help teams win games or help explain how teams do that.

A lot of competitive 2K gameplay is about taking advantage of situations and throwing teams into rotations 🔄 @CincoGotGame looks at a few of our recent clips and shows how the advantages were created 🚧 #HIVEVoltage | @NBA2KLeague

How to do that? More breakdowns, broadcast heavier on calling out different actions, explaining metas, etc. How do you guard PnP vs PnR vs 5out? Education is KEY - make sure website is updated with everything a fan needs. It's the first thing they see when looking the league up

Been thinking about the direction of the 2KL a lot... maybe this'll start a discussion We're trying to build a league with two uphill battles: being in a new space where fans need to be educated about comp 2K, AND letting ppl know that we exist at all (1/10)
