Our latest PP led by @IvaIlioska, in collab. w/ @NSB_Lab @DondersInst. We use normative modelling to characterise the inter-individual variability of FC alterations in people with autism from individual edges to macroscale networks: tinyurl.com/mr4673cw

Excited to have published my first paper! Here we review the utilisation of fMRI in isolated REM sleep behaviour disorder, a prodrome of Parkinson's disease, and its implications for understanding disease progression and heterogeneity 🧠🛣️ @DrElieMatar @profsimonlewis @cyctbdbw

Chen et al. report that patients with early #psychosis show increased cortical shape asymmetry at coarse spatial scales, while asymmetries of cortical thickness, surface area, and gyrification do not differ between groups. shorturl.at/mvNX1

We know that brain regions that are close together tend to share similar properties. How can we disentangle this *spatial autocorrelation* from *true relationships* when comparing brain maps and brain modes? Lovely new "eigenstrapping" work from @KoussisNikitas shows us how⬇️
Nikitas Koussis@KoussisNikitas

Thrilled to present our preprint for a new brain null method (doi.org/10.1101/2024.0…) 🧠 Here we present "eigenstrapping", which exploits the intrinsic geometric constraints of the brain to generate surrogate brain maps with closely matched spatial autocorrelation. More below 👇

What role does brain asymmetry have in early psychosis? And how can we capture this relationship across spatial scales? Find out in our new work led by Yu-Chi Chen (@cyctbdbw) with @Kevin_M_Aquino @AFornito @jchrispang et al. out now in @braincomms!!

Our latest publication on @braincomms is out. We found that patients with early psychosis showed abnormal brain asymmetry across coarse spatial scales using eigenmode, with @Kevin_M_Aquino @AFornito @jchrispang @AshleaSegal @SidChop @AlexHolmes_NSB, Chao Suo, Jeg Tiego @NSB_Lab
