Quick update for players based in North America: We have just released a server-side patch to centralize connections on a single server region (Central) to avoid splitting players in 3 different regions. This should reduce matchmaking queue times and help team balancing.

Nah, I play a variety of games. I did not even play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. when they released themselves actually. And no, I won't blindly defend GSC, because S2 has a lot of problems (Balancing is bad, Veteran difficulty has some BS, A-Life doesn't work properly atm) Just saying that what GSC achieved even now is great, and underneath all technical problems, there is a GOTY there. And yes, I believe it is fair to criticise games based on their technical state - but I personally don't do it, and the game being GOTY is my personal opinion only.

Yes, I am awarding a game made by passionate devs under the most stressful circumstances, a game which is a clear love letter to OG fans and had lot of thought put into it. Are technical issues good? No lol, but let's not only judge games based on their technical side alone. S2 is truly a gem which needed more time, and none more could have been afforded sadly.
