@minimaxir I have in my Claude.md a caveat to never provide estimates in human time and rather in the number of phases or steps projected to get to some end. Every once and a while, I see non-compliance late in a convo, but it's generally helpful.

What is the purpose of agents giving planning estimates in days/weeks/months? I'm just going to ask you to do it and it'll only take an hour, tops.

@bridgemindai @claudeai I think they're invalidating sessions on purpose to protect servers. It's a tactic I've seen to free up resources when you're overloaded. By forcing all Agents to reconnect, any autonomous agents are stuck until a human comes back to check, recognize the problem and fix it.
