@czuee Lots of support/resources, a point of contact, a number to ring if I have any issues. No judgement, no disbelief, taken seriously, lots of time during apt, not rushed...I walked out feeling like I had support. Makes a huge difference to wellbeing.

Had the most +ve experience in my whole #endometriosis journey today at a stoma clinic (NHS). Jaw to the floor at the level of support I received! 🙏 It did however highlight the zero support available to endo sufferers - despite how challenging the disease can be to live with.

We gave 180 radiologists an expert-level AI for diagnosis. But instead of improving, their performance didn't budge. 😮

Saw this posted on LinkedIn as a leader’s recommended reading list (or something along those lines). Once again I am begging of you, please read more fiction. I promise that it will do more for you vs another productivity optimization book.

@rikrenard For endometriosis diagnosis, we found that doctors in India and Brazil prefer doing imaging before going for a diagnostic surgery, compared to in "richer" countries. Patients without means though do not get always access to good healthcare.

At the virtual care conference there was a workshop on vital metrics for attendees (clinicians, ops, execs..)
There were +100 metrics for payers and providers but only 4 for patients
Prime example of how incentives for payers & providers are not in line with patient interest

What hospitals and insurance companies actually care about! There are 3 points under patient 🤯.
If incentives are not aligned with patient care, patients are not the real customers 🤷🏻♀️.
Oh, and I would love to see the Pharma incentives here too. 😜

@rebeccamallick @RCObsGyn @TheBSGE The healthcare system as it is today is never going to care about benign conditions because their incentives are not aligned! Real change cannot happen without incentives.

@AmineKorchiMD I will disagree, it is driven by customer needs. But the customer is not the radiologist! It is other physicians who need to use imaging but aren't skilled in it. And that's also why we need more R&D.

- Demand-pull : driven by customer needs
- Technology-push : driven by R&D progress

It’s more risky as market needs are unknown, but it has the potential to radically transform radiology
