This isn’t just a soldier. This is a legend. 471 days of hell without rotation. Serhii "Wind" Tishchenko, a combat medic of Ukraine’s 30th Brigade, held a position near Soledar from August 13, 2024 to October 28, 2025 — just a few hundred meters from russian forces. 1/6⬇️

⚠️ Maritime drones attacked up to three Russian-linked “shadow fleet” tankers near the Turkish coast in the Black Sea. The tanker Altura, previously damaged in an earlier attack on March 26, and Velora, which had arrived to transfer cargo, were both targeted again near Kilyos, north of Istanbul. Another tanker, James II (IMO: 9253909), was struck and sustained damage in the engine room.

Putin hinted to Kazakhstan that they would be the next victims of Russia, because they communicate in Russian there. The President of Kazakhstan immediately switched to the Kazakh language and the Russian self-proclaimed government was forced to turn on the translator 😀

A priceless joke is now circulating inside Russia that goes like this: One day, Putin visits a school and gives a speech about how excellent the Russian government is and how Russia is the greatest country in the world. At the end of the speech, he invites the students to ask questions. A boy stands up and says: “Hello, my name is Sasha, and I have two questions.” Putin replies: “Alright, go ahead.” Sasha asks: “Why did Russia invade Ukraine? And why haven’t we won the war yet?” At that exact moment, the lunch bell rings and everyone leaves for lunch. After lunch, the Q&A session continues and another student stands up. “Hello, my name is Boris, and I have four questions.” Putin says: “Yes?” Boris asks: “Why did Russia invade Ukraine? Why haven’t we won the war? Why did the lunch bell ring 20 minutes early? And where is Sasha?” #StandWithUkraine

Today, May 27, on the same day EU foreign ministers are meeting in Limassol to discuss the possibility of direct dialogue with Russia, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in the WDR 0630 podcast that she hopes the war in Ukraine will end "in 10 years - and in such a way that Ukraine is an independent, free, and sovereign country." This is Merkel’s third public appearance on the same platform within ten days, and it coincides with active discussions in Brussels over who could represent the EU in negotiations with Moscow. Merkel’s candidacy as an unofficial diplomatic actor has a fundamental problem: she is simultaneously the most acceptable and the least legitimate option. Her very appearance in the public space looks staged. She's made three public appearances on the same platform within ten days. On May 18, at the WDR Europaforum, Merkel said that Europe is "not using its diplomatic potential sufficiently", then, later that day, she rejected the idea of taking on an official mediator role. Today, May 27, on the WDR 0630 podcast, Angela Merkel said she hopes the war will end "in 10 years." Between these two appearances, Politico published an EU shortlist: Angela Merkel, Alex Stubb, Mario Draghi, and Putin’s negotiator Kirill Dmitriev publicly reacted to Merkel's remarks. The Kremlin is listening to her. The coincidence with the Brussels discussions is too much to be an accident. Merkel is acceptable for this role because she is not discredited like Schröder and not viewed as an enemy by Moscow like Kaja Kallas. But this is a passive quality: "not the worst option" is not the same as "the right choice." The Minsk process is not merely a "ballast," as Brussels diplomats softly describe it. It is a failure that Russia took use of to prepare for a full-scale invasion. Merkel herself admitted in a 2022 interview that Minsk gave Ukraine "time to strengthen itself." But this is simultaneously an admission that the negotiations were conducted not for peace, but for delay. If this is her diplomatic methodology, then Merkel is not suited for a role that requires a real settlement. Merkel is no longer in power - and she herself emphasized this as an argument against her official candidacy. But then another question arises: what is her mandate in the unofficial track? Who authorized her? To whom is she accountable? An unofficial channel without an institutional anchor is either a private initiative the Kremlin can ignore, or parallel diplomacy that undermines the EU’s official position. And, finally, today’s statement about "10 years" undermines Merkel's own claim that Europe is failing to use its diplomatic potential. If a person calling for more active diplomacy is herself setting a decade-long horizon, then this is either an absence of strategy or preparation of public opinion for a frozen conflict. Neither option makes Merkel a strong diplomatic actor.

A priest of the Moscow-affiliated church walked the streets of Odesa in his cassock, marking targets on Google Maps for Russian missiles. One of those targets was hit twice — the second strike timed for when rescuers arrived. Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) counterintelligence has detained a cleric of a parish of the Moscow Patriarchate church (UOC-MP) in Odesa, who directed a double missile strike on the city in March 2024. The SBU announced the arrest on May 27. What he did Using coordinates the priest provided, Russian forces attacked a recreational area of the port city with two "Iskander-M" ballistic missiles. "The first hit residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure in the regional centre, where, in the corrector's opinion, military personnel might have been. The second strike hit the same location when emergency services arrived at the scene." A double-tap strike — the second missile aimed specifically at the rescuers, medics, and first responders who rushed in after the first. This is a deliberate tactic designed to kill the people who come to save the wounded. After the strike, the agent reported the results to Russian military intelligence (GRU) and went to ground to avoid detection. SBU officers established his involvement and detained him at his residence. How he was recruited The investigation found that the cleric came to Russia's attention when he posted pro-Kremlin comments in Telegram channels. After being recruited, the priest — without removing his church cassock — walked the city to mark the geolocations of potential "targets" on Google Maps. He passed the collected information to a chat-bot administered by a traitor, Serhiy Lebedev (alias "Lokhmatyi"), who is hiding in Donetsk and works for Russian military intelligence. What else he betrayed The agent also passed the enemy: 🔴 Coordinates of Ukrainian air defence forces protecting Odesa's airspace during Russian missile attacks
🔴 Information about an electrical substation near Odesa, including its protection systems — and, after a Russian strike on the energy facility, a damage report During searches, officers seized the smartphone he used to collect intelligence and contact the GRU. SBU investigators have charged him under Part 2, Article 111 of Ukraine's Criminal Code — high treason committed under martial law. He is in custody without the right to bail and faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property. Why this matters This case is a clean illustration of how Russia weaponises and uses the Moscow Patriarchate church inside Ukraine. A man in a cassock, trusted by his community, used that trust and that freedom of movement to mark Ukrainian homes for ballistic missiles — and to help target the air defence systems protecting the city's civilians. It is also why Ukraine's scrutiny of the Moscow-affiliated church is a security matter, not a religious one. The cassock here was not a symbol of faith. It was operational cover for an agent of Russian military intelligence. — Source: Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), May 27, 2026 #Ukraine #Odesa #SBU #RussiaWarCrimes #UkraineWillWin #UAF

Almost two hours of a Cabinet meeting with President Donald Trump, and not one journalist asked about the urgent letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the administration and Congress regarding the critical shortage of air defense systems and missiles, amid intensified ballistic strikes on civilian targets by Russians in recent days. Attacks that are expected to intensify even further.

El padre no sobrevivió; la madre y los niños resultaron gravemente heridos. En las imágenes se ve cómo llevan a la niña de 3 años al hospital. Le falta un ojo Grita: "No quiero". This is wild... Russia seems to be threatening a *commercial* satellite that provides imaging services to Ukraine: ▸ starting about two weeks ago, Russia started maneuvering five (!) of their classified satellites to the same orbital inclination as the ICEYE satellite ▸ these burns were big, on the order of 100 m/s, clearly using chemical propulsion given the speed of the burns — very expensive and deliberate maneuvers ▸ as of last Friday, all five Russian satellites are now co-planar, at ~97.8° inclination, with three of ICEYE's satellites, and aligned in other orbital elements (e.g. RAAN) that make it clear they're specifically targeting this set ▸ I am a little skeptical that Russia is specifically targeting -X36 — there are two other satellites at the same inclination/RAAN (-X37 and -X38) — but the Russian sats are now all within striking distance of -X36, which is why people are concerned about it specifically; the closest cross-track distance is an estimated 500 meters (!!), all while the satellites are orbit 550 kilometers above Earth ▸ Russia has unleashed a cyberattack on a commercial satellite before (Viasat), and it is official Russian policy that commercially-owned infrastructure that aids in military efforts "may be legitimate target[s] for a retaliatory strike.” ▸ there's speculation that this could be a precursor to an RPO mission (meaning: physically grabbing the satellite or some other kind of non-kinetic attack like blinding/jamming) Worth tracking closely. And unfortunately more evidence that space is militarizing, fast.

Odesa is where russian n@zis executed civilians today. Never forget that it’s not just Putin. It is russia. It is who they are. They won’t change with new leader. This is russia. This is what russia values. This is what russia exists to do. They value nothing but myth of their own greatness. They don’t value life. They don’t value friendship, compassion, kindness, decency. They exist to destroy. That is their entire value system no matter if Putin lead them or Stalin or Tzar. They will never allow peace because basic human values like peace have no meaning for them.
