Parliament should reverse the decision to proscribe Palestine Action urgently before we see large numbers of elderly people in particular being dragged before our courts. Classifying protest through direct action as terrorism brings Parliament & our judicial system into disrepute

Scale of sentences on the 4 young people who took direct action against the arms supplier to Israel is truly shocking. To impose years of imprisonment for protesting to save lives in Gaza is unjust, especially sentencing on terrorist grounds they were never convicted of by a jury

Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

Nigel Farage has just re-instated this man into Reform UK. Let that sink in. Britain is better than this.

I don’t support rioting from anyone but when BLM did it, Labour said that MPs should speak to the black community and listen to the concerns. Following the scenes in Belfast, has any Labour MP mentioned speaking to white, working class communities to listen to their concerns?

@Keir_Starmer What are you going to do about the women and children of Britain? The old and the vulnerable? What about the innocent lives that have been ruined because of what’s happened?

The scenes in Belfast last night were shocking and completely unacceptable. There is no justification for the violence and disorder that we saw threatening our communities, nor for those who encouraged it, online or elsewhere. It is clear that people were targeted last night because of their background and I will not tolerate it. Those responsible will feel the full force of the law. I’ve spoken to the Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland to convey my thanks to them and the frontline emergency services for their bravery in keeping people safe. I’ve also spoken to the First Minister and Deputy First Minister to discuss the ongoing situation. Appealing for calm must be the priority, and that is what I urge now. We must let the police get on with their work.

Heartbreaking scenes in Northern Ireland. Nobody should resort to burning down buildings and setting their own community on fire. You do not affect change through violence, you only galvanise your political opposition. I understand people are deeply frustrated and angry but this is not the way.

@Wingingit007 I don’t think understand my comment? I’m angry too… I didn’t say to welcome them in. You want the government to listen to you? Go to the government buildings, to their homes. Don’t smash up your own neighbourhood 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

I understand people are angry with what’s happening in Britain… I’m angry too. But to burn down innocent people’s homes? Destroy business and your own towns is crazy work! Protest at the government buildings and at their homes. Don’t drag innocent lives into it

People have the right to protest and be angry, but what does burning innocent people’s cars do for anyone? So daft.
