@ExKayEnDay The interim Executive Director is in place *because* of the scandals. They say they are working on rebuilding with safety measures in place. We met with her today to discuss our concerns and to work towards a better future. We are hopeful. Wish us luck!

@dabblewriter WHAT new leadership? The "new" acting CEO was the president of the board during the child abuse scandals. There's nobody new there, @dabblewriter. You say that you're monitoring the situation, but I don't see a red line for you anywhere.

@PhoenixReign95 I genuinely mean no disrespect to you, Kyo, but there's no chance I would trust a service even if the AI aspect is "opt-in." I can't be convinced they aren't still going to eat up any data they can reach, with or without permission.

@PhoenixReign95 @ContinueEclipse We understand the concern. The best we can do is to live up to our word and build trust over time. Bad actors have tainted trust in any company that stores data online. We are cloud-based, so we have to earn that trust back either way, even though we never broke it.

@ContinueEclipse No worries, I know it’s a genuine concern. They have a whole statement about AI in their private policy. They have no intentions of selling data to AI or use your data to train AI but that doesn’t mean AI won’t just use it regardless. I personally don’t support AI either.

@whataimeereads_ I’ve tried a bunch but @dabblewriter is my favorite! I recommend it to all my writing friends.

@ContinueEclipse @RAHane_writer @ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo Great thing is, we're not an AI company. Every person who works at Dabble is a writer. We decide (along with our customers) how and where AI is used. AI doesn't decide for us.

@dabblewriter @RAHane_writer @ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo Sure. Yeah. Great. But we all know it doesn't end with AI solely functioning as tools. It'll be using everything it touches as part of its model under the guise of "improving," but we all know what direction that's heading towards.

@RAHane_writer @ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo That doesn't mean we affiliate with any of NaNoWriMo's opinions and stances. They are their own. Our focus and the sole purpose of our existence is to support writers in crafting their story.

@RAHane_writer @ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo We feel the NaNoWriMo program is still super helpful for writers to get that first draft out, so we are still planning to sponsor NaNoWriMo. When writers no longer participate in the program, we will no longer sponsor them. We want to support writers where they're at.

@RAHane_writer @ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo We may consider AI features. If it can help you find plot holes, or convert your first draft from 3rd person to 1st, that might be something our writers would find useful. But our writers want to write, to create. We support that wholeheartedly.

@ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo @dabblewriter @dabblewriter I see several users have requested AI tools in your request features function, all of which are marked under consideration. Are AI tools in development and/or actually being considered. I also remember a survey that came out on AI but no statement related to it.

@RAHane_writer @ThatBeardoAdam @NaNoWriMo All features are auto-marked as under consideration. Our survey told us our writers want to write (go figure). They don't want AI to write for them.
