I do not accept help from strangers. There’s a lot of evil in the world. If I’m in trouble, I find a church, mosque, school, home… I will meet people at grounds that feel familiar to them.
It’s easier for people to release a smile when they feel secure, not when you’re a complete stranger on the highway. I will not smile back!

Aside from minding their business, female Nigerians are very rude(not all but most)
You will see a Nigerian lady at the bus stop and you will smile and kinda wave hi and they will look you eyeball to eyeball and snub you.

My uncle Tunde used to say something when he first moved to the UK with his wife.
“Marriage abroad is easier if two people truly love each other.”
Back then, everybody admired their story.
They left Nigeria together with only two suitcases and big dreams. My uncle worked night shifts at a warehouse while his wife, Amaka, cleaned offices in the mornings.
Life was tough, but they were happy.
Every Friday they would buy takeaway jollof rice from a Nigerian restaurant, sit in their small living room, and talk about the future they were building together.
They promised each other something simple.
“No matter how hard life gets in this country, we will never betray each other.”
For a while, that promise held.
Then things started to change.
Amaka got a better job in a care home. Her salary became almost double my uncle’s warehouse pay. She started sending money home to her parents in Nigeria. She even began talking about going back to school.
At first my uncle was proud.
He would tell everyone, “My wife is doing well.”

I got an air fryer and a hand written note for Christmas.🥹🥹 I- I mentioned I was frying chicken earlier yesterday, this person said “why not just air fry it?”, I said I don’t have one. How this person managed to order and waybill an air fryer to me from miles away, in under 24 hours, I don’t know. But above that, what warms my heart the most is the note- I loooooove notes. Hard girl done almost cry. I guess this is my Christmas miracle??? Merry Christmasssssssss!!!!😅
