Some simple rules of thumb for when someone should count as "White", AKA "White North-western European" for political purposes:
- If they are purely from one or more of the core White North-western European Countries (countries within the Hajnal Line), then they are White
- If they are purely from one or more of the Eastern European countries, then they are "Eastern European White".
- If they are purely from Southern Europe, they are "Southern European"
- If someone is a mixture of Eastern European and Hajnal Line White, then they can count as White if the mixture would put them within the circle shown below. Usually this means about 50-75% White. Ditto for a mixture of Southern European and Hajnal Line White.
- If they are a mixture containing Black African, then they must be at least 93% European to fall into any of the white groups. i.e. one pure black great great grandparent, and 15 Euros, or less.
- If they are a mixture containing Pakistanis or Indians, they must be at least 75% European to fall into any of the White categories, but this caries depending on ethnicity and caste of the South Asian i.e. one South Asian grandparent and three Euros is allowed.
- If they are are a mixture containing East Asians, they must be 87% White European to be white, i.e. one Chinese great grandparent and seven Euros makes someone White.
