The Lido Junction W13 @EalingCouncil's failure to repaint the yellow box junction here, continues to cause problems for pedestrians. I had to instruct the driver blocking the wheelchair user crossing the road to go back as she didn't have the intelligence to do it by herself.

@CitizenUddin I appreciate your efforts regarding parking, just pointing out there are other objects causing obstructions too.

@dagdave Absolutely. But doesn't really make a difference as cars are parked on the pavement anyway

Somewhere in West Ealing. I can't keep up with the amount of funerals/removals/building work the driver that lives here has. I mean, what other reason would they regularly put traffic cones out for?
Walking Marky@CitizenUddin

Somewhere in deepest West Ealing... Oh dear, Mr. "I'm going to put traffic cones outside my property, to stop anyone else parking there" is going to be in for a bit of a shock when he returns. Someone has moved the cones and parked in "his" spot. Priceless.

Can you just put kidney beans in straight from the can or do you have to rinse them and all that nonsense?

Canadian here who moved to the UK a few years ago, why do you all hate some random town 5 miles over from yours? I've asked and nobody seems to have an answer that isn't some form of calling them all incestous, posh, or a shithole.

@PookyD81 I can’t get the pressures on each wheel to match using the petrol station air pumps. No problem, just does my head in that they don’t match

@UB1UB2 In the 1970s we threw snowballs into the open rear platform of Routemaster buses. Nothing really changes.

As much as I appreciate manual transmissions, especially in very fast cars, my car can shift dramatically better than me. I can't shift in milliseconds. Manuals are fun but inferior. They do, however, have a great nostalgic feeling.

@joncoupland Experienced an aborted landing in strong winds. Pilot decided on a go-around last second and hit the ground hard before climbing for a second attempt. During the fly around we could hear him testing the undercarriage. When we successfully landed there was some relieved applause.

The American chap in front of me clapped when the plane landed and everyone turned around and gave him quite rightly "that look" Is this a new thing? Old thing? Where has it come from?

I seriously wonder how churches plan to survive the next 20 years. Virtually every regular these days is above retirement age. How do they plan to stay open once the current crowd dies off?

For the past few weeks Google Maps has been increasingly unreliable stopping me updating anything. To that end I've been quickly learning Open Street Map and I am now happy to share the link : u.osmfr.org/m/1334010/ The Google map will remain but will not be updated.

Welcome to London, where people openly read Mein Kampf on public transport. Mein Kampf was written by Adolf Hitler, Nazi dictator and architect of the Holocaust, the genocide of six million Jews. It is not a neutral text, but rather a foundational work of Nazi ideology. The idea that anyone would think it acceptable to read this on the London Underground is staggering. When hate can sit unchallenged on a train carriage, we are in a very bad way.
