RAF QRA underway per @ArmchairAdml, some rumours that it's Russian maritime patrol aircraft being nosey around the UK Carrier Strike Group and other NATO assets operating in the "High North". The carrier does not have F-35B embarked for this part of the CSG deployment

MPs should have a centrally funded case work team, and that team should be trained and managed by Parliament, using shared IT, not the MPs.

@FennellJW Possibly not, just because HMT doesn’t want to pay for it the general world consensus is 12-15,000 tonnes for a destroyer. T83 needs big power generation, 128 MK41 and powerful radars, neither T26/31 are big enough.

Would a AH140 variant work for Type 83? Given a new BAES radar suite and pared with two LUSV arsenal ships. The hull is suitable and more than 6 would be very affordable, a modern Type 42.

For another £5Bn the RN could build 1,000 Kraken small USVs for coastal work, surveillance of the North Sea or as weapon systems operating from MRSS or similar platforms.

I was young in the 80s/90s in the UK. I don’t remember my parents ever going out to eat, except when we were on holiday (in the UK). I don’t think they ever took me to a fast food restaurant, or ordered takeaway food. People today have no clue how working people lived. /1

@supertolerant Maybe a Sunday night at the local village pub. Once a month or a special occasion. The odd chippy on a Thursday night when I worked late with my Dad. But it was never a regular or weekly event.
