Last week, our co-founder @damipator and one of our senior developers were in Nuremberg for embedded world Exhibition & Conference 2026, one of the world’s largest events dedicated to embedded systems and hardware security. They brought along a prototype we’ve been experimenting with internally and spent the week presenting it, exchanging with hardware engineers, and exploring potential collaborations. The concept is quite exciting: provable TLS sessions running directly inside ARM TrustZone secure microcontrollers. In practice, this means embedded devices that can cryptographically prove the connections they establish. That kind of capability could unlock things like community-driven oracle infrastructure, decentralized prediction markets, or peer-to-peer on-ramping systems with smartcard-level security. Still early, but the discussions in Nuremberg were very promising. Secure hardware and decentralized infrastructure are starting to meet. There’s clearly a lot to explore there.

@CalmDevta @UseGossip @massachain @dfinity No need for server side encryption, it is end to end encrypted, and no server is trusted. What we want tho for it to work even when internet connectivity is low/censored/broken. More on this soon, stay tuned :)

The experimental version of Gossip is now live ! This release is intended for early testing. We invite the community to try the app, explore its features, and help us improve it by sharing feedback and reporting any bugs they may find. Gossip is end to end encrypted and implements the Double Ratchet algorithm, providing both Perfect Forward Secrecy and Post Compromise Security in a quantum resistant fashion. This ensures that past and future messages remain protected even if encryption keys are compromised. At this stage, the backend is still hosted on a centralized server. Work is actively ongoing to decentralize it, and this is one of our current priorities. For this experimental version, the application is not yet available on the App Store or Google Play Store. Gossip can currently be used as a PWA on the DeWeb and is also available as an Android .apk.
