@Akintola_steve i like the fact that you added certain scenarios where kafka can be useful.

Handling traffic spikes & buffering. Flash sales. Ticket drops. Viral traffic. Your downstream services can easily get overwhelmed. Kafka acts as a buffer layer. It keeps events safe until consumers catch up instead of your entire system collapsing under pressure.

Backend Engineers throw Kafka into every architecture nowadays like it’s a compulsory tech stack. Meanwhile, many applications genuinely do not need Kafka at all. So, when exactly should Kafka actually be used?

I (and Claude) created a tool for managing worktrees and creating new worktrees on the fly :) github.com/Oluwa-nifemi/c… I use it multiple times a day and it's really nice to work on stuff in parallel or create throwaway experimentation branches

To love is to study. Humans are endlessly complex, and they’ve always been my favorite subject of study. Even when it works out, curiosity never truly disappears. I’ll keep learning my partner in new ways, because love itself is a kind of curiosity.

🌳 How do you people even endure getting to know someone dari 0 lagi? It's so tiring. You invest hours and hours of your time to get to know someone and it just doesn't work at the end, and you're supposed to do it all over again? How? 🥲

While building systems, engineers should choose databases with the mindset that not every data model will age gracefully with their application. Most teams pick MongoDB because “it’s flexible.” Others default to Postgres because “it’s reliable.” Then the data layer becomes the bottleneck. Choosing the right DB is designing your foundation so it doesn’t collapse under real usage.

bruh, i sat opus 4.7 down and explained to it why it is stupid. please i beg you, learn engineering concepts, learn dsa, database optimization & modeling. if you leave this AI to do its mind, your endpoints will be 4x slower than it should be. you can tell it to give you the most optimal solution and it will still be rubbish. read everything this AI gives you. thank you
