This two-stage approach is another example of the “model-pipeline” concept Theta Labs and GoogleCloud jointly presented at the GoogleCloud Next conference last year.

Translating a simple, often rough, 2D sketch into a detailed and accurate 3D model involves numerous technical hurdles, as it is difficult to generate a 3D model with high spatial resolution which preserves the subtle details and shapes envisioned by the artist in the 2D sketch.

Nothing works in Melbourne. I went to a hamburger restaurant to have something to eat (an aberration because I’m a bit hungover). The youngsters made a hamburger and left it sitting on the counter for 30 mins. Yes, was waiting. Finally they buzzed my number. The hamburger was pretty cold. I asked if they could make me something hot. So they gave the cold hamburger to someone else … while I waited for the hot one. At close to $30.00, I don’t think it’s unreasonable. Note: they remade it but it was the wrong one - LOL

@realDrBrendan High rents, high wages, high cost of goods and high taxes. Such a difficult situation for any small business to make it in hospitality and retail. Chapel St used to be so vibrant and now it’s a wasteland.

It’s Friday night at 7:30 on Chapel Street - where are all the people? I was going to just go home. Instead I thought I’ll visit a restaurant I frequent before it goes out of business. The street is soooo gloomy. There’s no lights. The bike shop next to it has closed. They were very nice people. The restaurant itself is a mess, virtually no customers, and a couple with a booking to a look and left. Tragic. It’s all up and down Chapel Street. Supposedly one of the most vibrant shopping and entertainment areas in Melbourne. Sad.
