✅RARE Act, which ensures pediatric drug research and development The bottom line? Kids with cancer are counting on Congress to include these bipartisan pediatric cancer policies in any final package. #KidsDeserveBetter (4/4)

Earlier this week, Congress was considering a bill that included 5⃣ critical childhood cancer policies—but they were cut. Congress shouldn’t go home without getting these pediatric cancer policies to @potus’ desk. Kids with cancer can’t afford to wait. #KidsDeserveBetter (1/4)

When someone stands behind a microphone and dehumanizes entire groups of people and says the most despicable and fear-mongering rhetoric, that disturbs me. What disturbs me even more though is the crowd of people that hears these things and cheers.

NEW: Black Insurrectionist, the anonymous social media persona behind widely circulated election conspiracy theories, traces to a man from upstate NY. He’s white. He's also been accused of fraud, had his home raided by the FBI and owes millions in taxes. apnews.com/article/black-…

90% of Medicare Advantage enrollees ages 65 and older, or 22.4 million people, live in a state where they could be denied a Medigap policy if they want to switch back to traditional Medicare and they have a pre-existing medical condition. on.kff.org/4eJZ0dz

Listening to Johnny Marr is like listening to Miles Davis: you know it the second you hear it, and it's beautiful like so few others can do it.

I'm guessing a lot of people don't know this: Medicare supplemental insurers can deny coverage for pre-existing conditions outside certain limited circumstances, such as soon after turning 65 and enrolling in Medicare. kff.org/medicare/issue…

Auschwitz Memorial

This is one of the hardest but also one of the most important warnings from the history of Auschwitz coming for us today. Perpetrators were in fact people who accepted and followed an ideology that made them believe that they were better than others, an ideology that rationalized and promoted hatred & evil. This became part of their everyday lives and their environment. They were not monsters. They were people: fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters. They had their family joys and problems, their favorite desserts or songs, hobbies or fears. They were people like us. But they also perpetrated horrible things, monstrous things on behalf of the ideology they believed in. Dehumanization of all "others" was a tool that helped them achieve their goal. The perpetrators thought of themselves as moral people. And this is the scary part of this history. We cannot dehumanize them, as their story and choices are our human warning.

@MichelleSichak And my favorite part of any basketball play: the player committing the foul yelling as if they did nothing wrong.
