Just ideas please. I do subtraction of mixed numbers by taking away the whole numbers separately. I was told it is not a best practice. I was marveled when I was told this as I sometimes find students struggle when they change the mixed number to improper fraction before taking
@JustinWelby@robotmaths They should not bother with Kofi getting married to Kwame or Adjoa and Esi. If they know what sin looks like they should look at themselves in the mirror.
@JustinWelby@robotmaths My problem with Ghanaian government at the moment is there are more pressing issues that needs to be dealt with in Ghana eg creating jobs for the people, tackling corruption and mis management of people tax by the government.
I am gravely concerned by the draft anti-LGBTQ+ Bill due to be debated by the Ghanaian parliament. I will be speaking with the Archbishop of Ghana in the coming days to discuss the Anglican Church of Ghana’s response to the Bill.

@Arithmaticks@mrbartonmaths Teaching a mixed ability year 9 group with a lot of challenging kids and a few more able students. I really struggled to challenge the top end students. Still haven't got an idea of what to do if I get a similar class again 🙃🙄😕😒

@PaddyMaths It might be that in my first year of doing this spec I should just teach ‘the textbook’ in the order it has been created. But looking on integral there are good activities which look worth doing, but time-wise it will be at the expense of modelled examples of all content I think.
I’m teaching the stats from Edexcel Alevel Maths in September. I want to get the balance right between thinking tasks (from integral largely) and worked examples etc. It feels like there is a lot of content and not much time. Anyone mapped out a detailed SOW which includes both?
Good day all,
I am teaching GCSE stats for the first time from September I will like to know if there are any resources out there that you can direct me to. Thanks
Good morning
I need some help as I have to present to my departments the advantages and disadvantages of sharing a markscheme with your students as part of a lesson. Any pointers will help
