Alex and Dan spent most of today with Tobi & Robert from live2give & Mike Kettle contractor working out best way to turn our cover crop into a mulch bed for tomato transplants. Hay mower followed by flail mulcher won. Next step aerating to heave dense soil after a wet few seasons

@waynepech Looks identical to mine, so nice to drive! 80+% of charging is at home. From 9pm to midnight is $0.00 and that's 120km. On big trips $0.40 - 0.90/kwh depending on region & charging speed. Can always find lunch while charging. To date, 23,500km averages < $0.03/km.

I can burn diesel with the ‘best’ of them… But a return trip to Perth today in an EV, to help a daughter, was pretty relaxing. 750km, 112 minutes charging, costing $13/100km to charge. Great fast charger at Williams (plus 👌 food at Williams Woolshed.

My graduate student is looking at cultivation, electrical weeding and both strategies used in combination for perennial weed control in an organic orchard. Here’s some preliminary results.

@GeezaColeman The more I learn about regenerative agriculture and soil ecology, the more important I think precision application is.

Pretty neat to see Denmark's Environment Ministry implementing/developing policies for precision application to reduce herbicide use. Incentives currently plus research/adoption funding but potential for mandatory use of precision tech.

Can't claim Napier is any better, but at least we landed!
