@AnnulusofZinn@CanesDavid For reference, the PSA was ordered by the hospitalist and it was 8 (in a 90 year old). As it was above 4 and “abnormal” the hospitalist consulted urology. The test would not have been ordered if the radiologist omitted “correlate with PSA.”
Yes, words matter.
🚨Radiology twitter:
STONE(S) in URETER:
My view is the word "nonobstructing" should never be used.
A ureteral stone may have no associated hydro because:
1. It truly is letting urine by
2. It's intermittently obstructing, and you happened to catch it after the upper tract decompressed
3. The patient is trying to die, septic, in shock, not making urine. 💀☠️
Words matter because the non urology care team sees the word "nonobstructing" as "not a problem" and may not consult urology.
Anyone disagree with this? Would love to see alternate perspectives.
@CanesDavid It's true. I've seen "advice" from "wellness" experts to avoid doctors, while promoting their T-boosting, anti-aging supplement of choice that week. They have mastered marketing, we have not.
@smithhmackenzie@DavidWolfe Hard pass on this comment. The wellness industry and doctors should work in tandem to improve the lives of people/patients/clients. There is nothing to be gained by denigrating physicians.

Men, women, and children are separated. Children come home from school to find that their parents have disappeared."

1. Makai Lemon is a star and the production to be worthy of the award.
2. Jeremiah Smith is the best overall receiver I’ve ever seen in college and I voted for him.
So many bad takes out there re Biden and prostate cancer (PCa), even by MDs. Here are basic facts on PCa based on what has been reported so far. Urinary symptoms led to evaluation at which abnormal digital rectal exam (DRE) noted. No mention of PSA now or before.

Today is my last day at @TheAthletic. Being one of the first people to work there and helping build the college football vertical into what it is today is the most rewarding professional accomplishment of my life. It was a great seven-year run I’ll cherish the memories made with many of my favorite people.
Thank you for reading/listening. Stay tuned for what is next.
@CanesDavid I like a QR code that is also a clickable hyperlink. I check email on my phone more often than my computer so a QR code doesn’t do much for me.
What do you think when you see that someone has emailed a QR code?
I don't mean QR codes in email signatures (people may grab that using mobile)... I mean the whole email is fill out this survey please.... and then QR, no link

There are roughly 65 million golfers in the world.
Less than 1% of them are scratch or better.
People assume they must have magical powers on the golf course.
But here are some stats that should blow your mind and, more importantly, give you perspective:
