MS lost a special leader and I lost a good friend with the passing of Dr Elayne Anthony. Public Health and higher education champion and leader, she was always supportive of my work as State Health Officer. I always loved it when she wanted a photo. Her life made MS better! ❤️

I get it. It’s at the end of the game. The ESPN rules analyst said as much. But if you don’t call it there, why have a rule? Miami won the game by beating Ole Miss up front and missed assignments. Not because of a DPI/holding foul. But this wasn’t called correctly.

Personal update: Just want to say thank you to all who reached out and kept my brother in their thoughts as he fought double pneumonia in the ICU. He was taken off life support a few days ago and is on his way to full recovery. I’ll see y’all back in Jackson starting tomorrow.

People still die in Belzoni because their ER been closed over a decade ago, yet today's budget—which I was told funds no local projects—spends $1M on a hospital for dolphins and sea turtles, $856k to watch sea turtles nest, $1.3M to look at water, and $691k to watch animals swim.
