You’ve probably heard a lot lately about Jonathan Haidt's argument that smartphones and social media are taking a toll on the mental health of young people. But you may not have heard as much about the other problem he identifies: parents. Our new video explains.

Kind of weird that everyone can see your face but you. At least there are mirrors now - before mirrors you were the only person who didn't know what your face looked like.

@OPP_CR @TownOfCaledon At a 4-way stop on a completely desolate residential street. Thank you for the excellent PSA on the importance of blind rule-following over alertness & safety. You saved countless lives today.

@missteak @gregeh For whatever it's worth I live a block away from Pacific and haven't heard anything. I've been notified about projects much further than that. Also, that pacific bike lane is just paint, removing it wouldn't even provide more access for drivers so I can't see why they'd do that.

@Mr_Wind_Up_Bird @Mihai_Cirstea_ Is the purpose of a park to be a greenspace for the public to enjoy, or to be a profit generator? Also, I always see cyclists mulling around Prospect Point, thirsty for refreshments after climbing the hill, with no place to spend their money twitter.com/internet_paolo…
Paolo@internet_paolo

Seriously @ParkBoard how is this place still closed? Prospect point is packed with potential customers. This is not only a terrible use of commercial real estate but it’s an eyesore, give this space to a local business that will actually use it.

@DrNadolsky You’re so obviously on the wrong side of history and science doctor. The fact that almost every comment here is from someone who has a financial interest in getting lifetime patients on Ozempic shows me all I need to know.

False. When you look at subgroup analyses of semaglutide the lean mass losses were high 30s%. When you look at subgroup analyses of tirzepatide (even more powerful) the lean mass losses are mid 20s%. My patient's and follower's body comp analyses are show between 10-20% loss.
Calley Means@calleymeans

Ozempic makes you fatter. It enables weight loss by decreasing muscle (not fat), which is devastating to health. The FDA didn't take this into account for approval and will be forced to revise guidance. No taxpayer money should go towards this drug.

Today we’re releasing “The A.I. Dilemma” – a new talk @aza and I gave on 3/9, a week before GPT4 launched. *Pls share it widely.* It's critical for institutions to understand how the race between AI labs is accelerating the likelihood of catastrophe: youtube.com/watch?v=xoVJKj…

LISTEN: Vancouver, you can hear me talk with @JasJohalBC on @CKNW around 3:35pm PDT on the protected active-transport lane decision for Broadway and why building protected bike-lane networks in cities is so important for EVERYONE, whether you personally ever ride a bike or not.

BREAKING: Despite the most one-sided (in both # of speakers & how informed/persuasive the speakers were) night of supportive public delegations on urban biking I’ve ever seen, Vancouver’s ABC majority on City Council just rejected the protected active transport lane on Broadway.
Brent Toderian@BrentToderian

Today Vancouver City Council is hearing from speakers about whether the newly-built Broadway “great street” will include an “active transport lane” aka a safe, protected bike-lane. I support putting the lane in NOW, while the street is already torn up for the subway construction.

Meiszner: bike along parallel routes, take the lane. I never felt the need for bike lane on broadway, appreciate 10th because its slower and more residential. wow, that's...rough

Ok, Council should be back any moment now with the debate and vote on whether to keep the commitment to build an active transportation lane on Broadway, or to effectively kill it. Will ABC go 0 for 2 in big active transportation decisions? Or will we get safe infra on Broadway?
Peter Waldkirch 華彼德@pwaldkirch

After removing the Stanley Park bike lane, a vote to effectively kill the Broadway active transpo lane would give ABC a real anti-active transpo reputation. Do they care? We'll see.
