Metabolic Blueprint ⚡
Metabolic Blueprint ⚡@metabolic_print·
Glowing skin is mostly about your metabolism. ‣ Color and warmth come from blood flow ‣ Firmness comes from your thyroid ‣ Smoothness comes from how fast your skin renews ‣ Tone comes from carotenoids in your food Your skin reflects how hot you burn. The 'glow' is what a high, well-powered burn looks like from the outside, and it's built from the inside. A high burn raises circulation and produces CO₂, which is a potent vasodilator that also helps your blood release oxygen into the tissue. Well-oxygenated skin (ironically, from high CO₂) runs warm and pink. Cold, pale skin is often a low metabolism. Your thyroid improves the firmness. A sluggish thyroid lets water-binding mucin collect in the dermis, and you get the puffy, doughy look. A strong metabolism and high thyroid output clears that mucin and drives collagen synthesis. Vitamin C is the cofactor that lets the thyroid signal lay the collagen down. Skin smoothness is about turnover, and thyroid hormone powers the mitochondria in your skin cells and determines how fast the skin renews. You get fresher texture, faster healing, more brightness. Dull, thin, flaky skin is one of the first signs of a low metabolism.
Metabolic Blueprint ⚡@metabolic_print

If you want clear skin, you need antioxidants. • Vitamin E (250 iu) • Vitamin C (500mg spread through the day) • CoQ10 (100mg) • Glycine (3-10g, for glutathione production) A big part of acne is your skin's oil oxidizing. When your skin's oil starts to oxidize, the damage spreads like a chain, one wrecked molecule attacking the next. Vitamin E steps in and breaks the chain, taking the hit. Each time it does, it gets spent. Vitamin C and CoQ10 recharge the used vitamin E, so it can keep its antioxidant properties. And ince a fat is oxidized, an enzyme has to fix the damage, and that enzyme runs on glutathione, your master antioxidant. Glutathione has to be constantly recharged, and how well you do that comes straight down to how good your metabolism is. Glycine is one of glutathione's three building blocks, and the one that is most often low.

Spoiler -40% cortisol. same amount you can get passing 30min a day in a peak UV light exposure under the sun. Just 30min a day at midday and you’re get covered, but wait there’s more, something that just supplementation will NEVER give you: > Mitochondrial efficency🆙 > Insulin sensitivity🆙 >Androgen Receptors sensivity 🆙 >Fat loss better than from Ozenpic ✅ >Testosterone, DHT and T:E ratio Improvement >Circadian rhythms alighnment ✅ >Cortisol peaks higher in the morning => easier to wakeup and no morning grogginess => more energy to kickstart your days ✅ >Better nutrients shuttling into the tissues => muscles fuller and pump is greater and life start to do brrrrr >Dopamine circuits upregulation => more motivation and dominance behaviour seeking >Microbiome improvement
Oxidative State@oxidativestate

they gave people 2000 IU vitamin D3 a day for 14 days to see if it lowers cortisol levels. the results?

Exterior/Urban design should be complex, very detailed and full of fractals because of the huge open space Interior design on the contrary should be very tidy and somewhat minimalistic, so it doesn’t overstimulate one’s mind and doesn’t create visual clutter

"The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused ... In reaction, the Admin issued the export control." Sama is totally going to release a Fable/Mythos-level model with no issues lol
David Sacks@DavidSacks

I’ve had a number of conversations with folks inside and outside government about the current situation with Anthropic, and here is what I believe to be true: — As we know, Anthropic publicly released its Mythos class models earlier this week under the commercial name Fable. — Fable is Mythos with guardrails. But if those guardrails fail, then you’ve exposed Mythos and its advanced cyber capabilities to people who shouldn’t have them. (Keep in mind that Anthropic itself widely promoted the idea that Mythos was a cyberweapon and needed to be regulated as such. They asked for government regulation of Mythos and championed the guardrails on Fable. If there is a vulnerability — big or small — it is Anthropic’s responsibility to patch.) — A highly credible trusted partner of both Anthropic and the USG who was testing Fable came forward with a jailbreak of those guardrails. The Admin asked Dario to fix the jailbreak or de-deploy the model. Dario refused. — In their blog post, Anthropic defended its decision by saying the jailbreak isn’t serious. That is not what the trusted partner and the USG believe; nor is that kind of minimizing language consistent with Anthropic’s brand as the AI safety company. It’s difficult to fathom how they could claim a jailbreak allowing operability of a cyber weapon could be defined as not “serious.” — In the past, Anthropic has always said that safety must be top priority and taken super seriously. In this case, Anthropic prioritized the continued offering of the consumer model over safety. — In reaction, the Admin issued the export control. The Admin did this reluctantly. It’s been very surprised that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to cooperate with a reasonable safety request (ie fixing the jailbreak issue). Anthropic’s reaction is very much at odds with their branding and ethos as a safe AI research community. — The Admin’s hope now is that Anthropic remediates the safety issue, the export control is lifted, and Fable goes back into general release. The Admin wants all of this to happen as soon as possible. It is frankly bewildered that Anthropic hasn’t wanted to comply with safety requests that it previously said were its highest priority. — Those trying to misdirect and tie this action to the prior DoW/Anthropic issues are wrong. The Admin values Anthropic’s technical capabilities and feels that this issue, while serious, should be easily resolved. The ball is in Anthropic’s court.

tl;dr: I think Broda Barnes and Peat are wrong about "hypothyroidism," it's probably just PUFAs. Listened to this 30 minute interview with Broda Barnes. If you're curious about his or Peat's thoughts on "hypothyroidism" I recommend it, it's a pretty good summary of his diagnosis, reasoning, and solutions. He explicitly recommends adding animal fats and reducing starches for weight loss, diabetes & heart disease patients btw😅 (On top of thyroid supplementation) Curiously, he seems to think that the root cause of the "hypothyroid" epidemic is a mix of genetics and that infectious diseases used to kill off the "genetically hypothyroid" in the past. Now that we've eradicated tuberculosis and other infectious diseases, they no longer kill off these poor bastards and we see them live to their full "hypothyroid" potential. I sort of just don't buy it. The timeline of this epidemic of "hypothyroidism" aligns almost perfectly with the introduction and widespread adoption of seed oil PUFAs, which started in the mid 1800s. The effects of excess linoleic acid (o6 PUFA) in the body can present very similar to hypothyroidism, and some people can even fix the issues temporarily by supplementing thyroid. But I don't think this is "real" hypothyroidism, and one should address the root cause (excess PUFA in the diet & adipose tissue from a lifetime of seed oil consumption) instead of merely papering over. A friend of mine used to supplement thyroid heavily for decades, but just 2 years of avoiding PUFAs strictly and he has lowered his dose by about 99%. He still takes a tiny bit of thyroid supplement occasionally, depending on how he's feeling.

@exfatloss I dont have the book to screenshot, but Barnes also says it in this interview youtu.be/YFEGcOo-QpQ?t=…
