Pauline Hanson was questioned again about flights. She's actually saving the taxpayers money and has declared everything but the far left media hacks just can't help themselves. As an aside, I doubt she'll ever receive as many free flights as the yes campaign did for their stupid voice to parliament failure.

Yes, fuel prices are rising everywhere. But Australia find itself uniquely vulnerable: → 90% imported fuel → minimal reserves → almost no domestic refining That’s not a global issue, that’s a domestic failure. Energy security is a federal responsibility and Australians are now paying dearly for the failure.

I still remember the launch of Football Australia’s women and girls strategy. Looking back on that day makes me even prouder to think about how hard @TheMatildas fought last night, and how far we’ve come as a nation when it comes to championing women in sport.

@Hec_from_Lubeck @AFLisnotasport It’s not irrelevant - one significant advantage the NFP grants is the access to government re grants - for profit entities access to government is far more regulated.

@AFLisnotasport They would legitimately never pay any tax even if they were a for profit entity. They would just distribute more each year to clubs as needed to ensure that. So it’s irrelevant if they are NFP or a for profit entity. Stick to being a single issue pedant.

I will never get my head around a government-funded, not-for-profit tax-free organisation also allowed to siphon $50m per year from the gambling industry. You are either a NFP delivering a social benefit, OR a profit-focused business operating within the law. Can't be both.

Treasurer Jim Chalmers wants to blame the war in Iran for everything, including the problems he caused. The fact is inflation was already out of control before overseas conflicts erupted. Now it's just going to get worse and Labor has left us backed into a corner. Australia should be the richest, self-reliant country in the world. Instead we're facing fuel rationing, mass migration, higher interest rates and a collapse in our way of life. It's time for change!

@joeylynchy @aap_sports The overhaul required starts at the top - board and ownership- the Wanderers have been a mess since they went into private ownership.

In @aap_sports Western Sydney interim coach Gary van Egmond has unloaded on his side after their 4-2 loss to Adelaide, saying some players are playing for themselves and that, as a first wooden spoon looms, the Wanderers need a “giant overhaul” 🔗: mudgeeguardian.com.au/story/9204097/… .

One nuclear reactor. 1.9 million solar panels. Same capacity, but nuclear runs 24/7 regardless of weather. I'll take boring and reliable over expensive and intermittent any day.

@DeanRosario @CricketAus @AFL @Socceroos There's been dozens of Lebanese and Turkish Aussie Muslim players play under 19s, 21s, 23s for Australia, but not for the Socceroos. Several Christian Lebanese, too, like Andrew Nabbout and Patrick Yazbek, among others. Mustafa Amini is half Afghan/half Nicaraguan! What a mix.

@Sachk0 My cousin once trialled for Sydney Croatia back in the 90s and every player wanted to play for Croatia over the Socceroos. Similar over at Sydney Marconi with the Italians, Sydney Olympic with the Greeks and Sydney United with the Serbs. Not sure if it's changed much since...

Great insight from Socceroos coach Tony Popovic on “not selling” the Aussie shirt after Adrian Segecic’s switch to Croatia. “If you’re getting called up by Australia through the junior levels, then you get called up by the Socceroos, shouldn’t that be enough that you’re wanted?”

Australia is using 44.6% less petrol per capita than it was in 2000 and 5.2% less jet fuel. Quite impressive really considering how much more people fly.

People are divided on this. A restaurant automatically added a 25% tip to every dinner bill. The owner says it guarantees fair pay for servers. Some customers say tipping should always be optional. Should restaurants be allowed to add automatic tips?
