This order does not provide certainty to patients and providers across the Commonwealth who worry their access to safe, essential healthcare is in jeopardy.    Virginia is the only state in the South that has not further restricted access to reproductive care, contraception, or birth control since the overturning of Roe v. Wade. Our Commonwealth is the last bastion in the South when it comes to protecting reproductive freedom, and I understand our responsibility at this moment.    I will continue to work to pursue every available avenue to ensure women can access care, uphold Virginians’ right to privacy, and protect fundamental freedoms for all families. And we will pass our constitutional amendment guaranteeing reproductive rights in November.

BREAKING: Oklahoma Gov Kevin Stitt just signed House Bill 3720, known as the Local Food Freedom Act. This bill renames and modifies existing laws concerning the sale of homemade food products. Key changes include expanding the definition of a "local food establishment" to include any location, not just a residence, and increasing the gross annual sales limit for such businesses from $75,000 to $250,000. The bill also clarifies that "local food products" can be sold and delivered by producers or third-party vendors, and that producers of time- or temperature-controlled foods must complete approved food safety training. Additionally, it mandates specific labeling requirements for local food products, including allergen information and a disclosure that the product was made in a facility exempt from government licensing and inspection, and requires producers to comply with local zoning and building codes. The act also specifies that violations are punishable by a fine not exceeding $300 and will become effective on November 1, 2026. It specifically EXCLUDES raw milk, alcohol and cannabis products
