It’s not about me. I live in Connecticut, so I see the fan base here. It comes from not just CT but from Maine, VT, NH, RI, and MA and other states. You’re leaving an entire fanbase and moving it as far as possible. Expansion? yes. Relocation? No.

So, instead of selling the team to a group in Boston, where Sun fans could have still seen the team play, they move the team to halfway across the country. Sure, that makes sense. To be clear, Houston should have a team if they want to expand. But now there is no team in all of New England. That’s dumb.

BREAKING: The Connecticut Sun is being sold to the Fertitta family to bring the WNBA back to Houston, sources confirmed to ESPN The team was sold for $300 million, sources said. Team will play final season in CT in '26 before relocation. The Comets are back.
