Yeah absolutely. My process was: 1) build a barebones MVP with only 10 songs in it, everything hardcoded (no API calls other than to YouTube which at the time I was using as my music source). 2) start distribution even before mvp, and when even one screen is half working, get that up on TikTok too while I’m still developing, with link in bio for early interest sign up. 3) Once MVP is finally functioning (took me 60 days, but I had gone very viral in that time and had 1,300 early interest sign ups), launch on TestFlight. 4) Use TestFlight feedback to validate whether people want it, if they do: study user behaviour and feedback, and adjust product accordingly (my app changed a lotttt. See attached screenshot. I know @itsnotchester also launched on TestFlight first, while still refining his app).
