Leader of the Rajput kingdoms of Saurashtra — When Rā Mandalika III ascended the throne, the Sultanate had become weak, and all the Rajput kingdoms of Saurashtra looked to Rā for leadership. It was for this reason that he held his imperial coronation with great pomp and grandeur.

“The king of the Yavanas (Sultanates), strong in his army of horses and elephants, stands away respectfully on hearing about the prowess of your arms, like a feudatory.” — Mandālika Nrīpā Cārita by Gangādhara from the Vijayanagara Empire, Karnātadesà (Contemporary Text)

@xoshivraj @Deviputra21 Because Halar and Vagad are regions adjacent to Kutch that were historically ruled by the Jadeja Rajputs. Also, I never said that this tradition is exclusive to Rajputs.

@dank_darbar__ @Deviputra21 Not just Kutch this tradition is also observed in Halar and Vagad (Morbi). It's not exclusive to Rajputs, though Rajputs have preserved it most prominently. My maternal family belongs to the senior-most Jadeja branch from Vagad, so I've grown up witnessing these celebrations.

This is the most accurate reconstruction of the Chudasamma dynasty's flag. Its color represents imperial sovereignty, sacred Girnar symbolizes their capital, the fort represents their military stronghold Uparkot (Jīrnādurga), and the crescent signifies their Chandravāmsa lineage.

Chudasamma Dynasty flag concept Inspired by the flag of Babi Pashtun dynasty of junagadh which actually followed it, but one can imagine the plausibility of the holy Girnar being a central element of their flag. The crescent represents their chandravamsha lineage

The Vikram Samvat 1445 Khorasa inscription records that Viraraja, an offshoot of the great Vaghela family of Dholka/Anhilwara, migrated from Gurjaratra to Kankroli (Marwar) and later served Chudasamma ruler Rā Khengara IV in Saurashtra, leading the army against Mahmud Tughlaq.

@rabari_tribe The Marathas never imprisoned Bhavsinhji Gohil. Instead, in 1722, Maharaja Raol Shri Bhavsinhji I Gohil of Sihor successfully defeated and repelled the invading Maratha forces led by Kanthaji Kadam Bande and Pilaji Gaekwad near the city of Sihor.

Navghan Well was commissioned by Khengara in honor of his father, the renowned 11th-century ruler Navghan. Many scholars consider it one of the earliest stepwells. A popular folk proverb says: “One who hasn't seen Adi Kadī Vāv and Nāvghãn Kūo has lost a great chance in his life.”
