💀 No explanation needed for why Thailand’s GDP grows at 2%/year! It’s illegal, and I’m not arguing they shouldn’t follow the laws on the books. But come on. Preventing foreigners from owning strategic sectors (telecommunications, energy, tech) makes sense, especially if you have the knowledge to do it yourself. But opening a restaurant? Is opening a restaurant a threat to national security? Will a random Italian making pasta lead to this country disintegrating? Does every arrabbiata made lead to a loss of local employment? It’s time to legalize all foreign ownership of non-strategic sectors. The police clearly have more important things to do.
