Little bit of personal news: in 3 weeks (!) I'm leaving the University of Sheffield to take up a new post as Open Research Services Manager at LSE Library. I'm going to be sad to leave some excellent colleagues, but am very excited to meet the team at LSE and get started

Gentle advice to all those people everywhere who very helpfully & often courageously take pictures and video on iPhones for use on TV. Please don’t hold the camera vertically but horizontally, as “landscape” pictures & film are much more suitable for the shape of a TV screen.
