Part 2 of my Florida to FSD v14.2.2.5 road trip video is now live 👇. While there is definite room for improvement, I am still impressed with how well FSD v14.2 handled this trip, especially in light of several navigation issues, road debris, and much much more. I am very much looking forward to v14.3, which should be ready here soon, maybe even tonight 👀.

1/ FSD crossed 9 billion miles last night. A few numbers worth knowing. 🧵 2/ 9B total miles. 3.25B of those are city miles. ~130M miles added every week. At that rate, 10 billion lands in early June. 3/ Fleet adoption: 13.18% as of last week. 8 straight weeks of growth. Q1 2026 was the biggest quarterly gain we've tracked — +0.77 points QoQ. Over 1.1M active FSD vehicles. 4/ Whole-drive autonomy went from 38% in January to 44% in March. v14 hard brakes: ~13/1,000 mi. v13 has averaged more than double that over the same period. 5/ Robotaxi fleet: 16 vehicles on Jan 1. 280 by end of March. 549 today. 17x growth in 3 months. 6/ More miles. Saw a few comments about when you use FSD you just sit there like a zombie not paying attention but it’s the complete opposite. When I use FSD my situational awareness is higher than anyone driving manually. I don’t have to hyper focus on a number on the screen or keeping my car between two lines and can focus on everything else around me. I’m surprised how distracted people are while they operate a motor vehicle.

Dear @Tesla - When my friend rides in the car with me, she usually rides up front and DJs as she has a M3 and is used to changing the music in a Tesla. The past two rides, she has been in the back seat of my ‘26 MYP to allow others to sit in the front. She wants to be able to control the music from the back seat more. She wants a search bar and such so she can DJ from the back. I understand many parents could easily get annoyed by this, so if you add it, I could be a toggle maybe? Thanks!
