So I am complaining and also advocating for a change based on reason as well as care for people . I want service that makes room for ingenuity, and individual circumstances. Service that thinks about the spirit of the policy. And if it doesn’t cost- let it happen!

So my options were -stay overnight at the denver airport & MAYBE make a flight the next day OR fly to my family-stay overnight in Memphis & fly to baltimore the next day. The smart choice was clear- but the cost was prohibitive.

@BobJordanSW @SouthwestAir As a follow up to my last thread - I have to pay SW $700 if i want to make sure i get back home by tomorrow due to a weather cancellation…. does that sound like a good outcome to you? You need smarter people developing your policies and systems.

You don’t even lose money with this policy change. If someone can find their way home on disconnected flights and there are open seats- let them do it! Don’t charge them! what you gain in customer trust and satisfaction - would pay in dividends.

Especially when the rebooking done by southwest has resulted in an overnight stay in an airport. (because southwest doesn’t pay for hotels due to weather cancellations)

@BobJordanSW i just had a few calls with agents at SWA to register my concerns. Unfortunately- even though they seemed genuinely sympathetic-and to agree with me. They have no power. That should change.

@SouthwestAir i just spoke with 2 agents and i felt bad for them. You’ve stripped their power to provide any type of person-centered accommodation for customers who are loyal to SWA .To have to listen to legitimate grievances & never be able to help really sucks morale.

@SouthwestAir you cancelled my flight & wont rebook me to another city where i have family without charging me extra! you decided to stick me in the Denver airport overnight- no hotel! This is awful. This is the reason you are losing customers. You need to make this right!

@AmericanAir I’m extremely disappointed in your agents at DFW that did not put me on an earlier flt to LAX that had open seats. They said “we are not adding any more names to the list”. Seems like they just didn’t want to do the work. Never had this issue w/ @delta
