UN Secretary-General @ONU_es, @antonioguterres, recalled that the UNGA considers US sanctions against #Cuba unlawful and voiced deep concern over their humanitarian impact. He stressed that there is no military solution to the differences and called for dialogue to prevail.

From the @UN podium, the Secretary-General’s @UN_Spokesperson reiterated the call to respect General Assembly resolutions on #Cuba and acknowledged UN efforts to ease the effects caused by US sanctions and blockade.

Unilateral sanctions and threats of force run counter to international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter 🇺🇳 Coercive measures do not lead to sustainable political solutions and instead exacerbate tensions.
